About this model

This viewer shows the published crystalline calcium metaphosphate (β-CPP) reference, not a measured structure of a specific sample. Amorphous CPP and other CPP polymorphs have different arrangements. The crystal view repeats the cell 1 × 1 × 3. Periodic oxygen images complete the phosphate tetrahedra at the cut boundaries; they are not chemical chain ends. Chains continue beyond the displayed fragment.

Solid sticks show P–O connections identified at 1.25–1.85 Å. Optional dashed segments show Ca–O coordination contacts at 2.10–2.85 Å; these are distinct from the covalent phosphate backbone. Ca contacts outside the finite fragment are omitted. Cell: a = 16.960 Å, b = 7.7144 Å, c = 6.9963 Å, β = 90.394°. A sphere's displayed radius is a visual choice, not its ionic radius.

Keyboard: focus the model, use arrow keys to rotate, +/− to zoom, and Home to reset. Touch: one finger rotates; two fingers zoom. No data is sent from this viewer.
